Amanda Bynes’ Driver’s License Suspended after Latest DUI Incident: Former teen star Amanda Bynes has been told by the LA Superior Court judge to put away her car keys for life. Bynes’ driver’s license has been suspended on the counts of two hit and run incidents, and a very possible DUI situation. She was also spotted in her car smoking what looked like a drug pipe earlier this week.
The judge who has held Amanda’s license under suspension is Marsha Revel, the same judge who sentenced Lindsay Lohan to a 90 day imprisonment in a 2010 DUI incident. Amanda Bynes has recently been caught with multiple driving misdemeanors. On September 9 the singer and actress was pulled over for investigation because she was driving without any car headlights. She has been charged for two hit and run counts – one took place on April 10 in Los Angeles and the second on August 4. In June she was pulled over under suspicion of driving under influence, but she refused to take a Breathalyzer test.
Bynes’ next date at the court is on September 27 when her penalties will be finalized. According to officials the charges rested upon Amanda can cost her up to six months in prison and almost $1000 penalty for every offence.
At her June hearing for driving under influence, Bynes’ lawyers pleaded not guilty for her. Later, the 26 year old actress took to Twitter and pleaded for President Obama’s help. As crazy as it sounds, Amanda tweeted requesting the President to fire the person who arrested her, because she does not drink alcohol and neither does she hit and run.
Amanda’s father Rick Bynes told the media that even though his daughter refused a Breathalyzer test, she was not drunk. In California, a refusal to take the test can result in suspension of the driver’s license.
