Arkansas Head Coach Bobby Petrino Fired – Arkansas Football head coach Bobby Petrino was fired on Tuesday night for deceiving the team by having an illegal relationship with a young lady. The decision was announced on Tuesday night in a press news conference by Athletic director Jeff Long. 51 year old Bobby Petrino had a secret relationship with 25 year old Jessica Dorrell.

The past inappropriate relationship between the two was unveiled after Bobby Petrino lied regarding his motorbike accident, and his lie was caught by the authorities. Petrino‘s Harley Davidson crashed on April 1 while his former girlfriend Jessica Dorrell was also riding with him; Petrino made a false statement to the authorities that he was alone and a ‘stranger woman’ got him help. Their relationship was publicly disclosed after he admitted Jessica Dorrell was riding with him.

Director Jeff Long said that Coach Bobby Petrino had unknowingly misled and engaged in unacceptable behaviour, he had a relationship with a female football employee who was half his age.
Bobby Petrino recently defended his cheating and lying act by saying that he wanted to protect his honour being a married man with four children. He added that he was trying to protect his wife and family and the honour of the team. Petrino, who came out of the accident with broken ribs, a cracked vertebrae and multiple facial abrasions, apologized to the Arkansas state, football authorities, his team, family and friends.

Bobby Petrino had an inappropriate relationship with 25-year old Jessica Dorrel who was a former Arkansas volleyball player and Razorback Foundation fundraiser and she was hired by Petrino in the football department some time back. Formerly Jeff Long expressed his utter disappointment in the coach and had placed Bobby Petrino on probation, giving him a paid leave.
Bobby Petrino had formerly worked with the Atlanta Falcons. His sparkling career came to an abrupt ending after a 34-17 record in four seasons, where 21-5 were attributed to the final two seasons.
