Empire State Building Shooting – New York City Terrified: New York City was terrified on Friday morning by an unexpected firing incident on Empire State Building; the shooting injured at least 10 persons. Authorities have confirmed that three people died – including the shooter, who was killed by the police force. The FBI has reported that this might be a workplace dispute and it is certainly not a terrorist attack.

An unreported workplace dispute catalyzed this incident where a man opened fire on the street just outside Empire State Building in New York. The shooter is said to have aimlessly fired, killing and injuring anyone who came in the way. Brave police officers jumped in that very moment and took him down.

New York police told the media that according to a source the shooter got hostile due to employment issues. It is not specified yet which of the businesses located in the building are associated with the attack.

Soon after news of the shooting came out, people started to assume this was another terrorist attack. Without faltering many were reminded of the September 11 incident in New York City. However authorities made it very clear that this was entirely a personal dispute.

Shooting incidents are not new; Americans have seen multiple gunfire occurrences this year including the much highlighted recent Sikh temple shooting. This is a terrible event since the Empire State Building is not only home to businesses, but it also entertains hundreds of tourists from around the world every day.

The shooter has been identified by the New York authorities as 53 year old Jeffery Johnson who hails from Manhattan. He was reported to be a women’s clothing designer who was upset for been fired during downsizing by a certain clothing company. Eye witnesses report that Johnson wore a grey suit and carried a briefcase; nobody would have eyed him with suspicion but that changed the moment he opened fire on the street.
