Florida’s Siesta Beach ranked on the top

Siesta Beach – The Siesta Beach in Sarasota, Florida was declared the best beach in the U.S by an expert. Stephen P. Leatherman, who is also known as ‘Dr. Beach’ ranked the Siesta Beach on the top. According to him the pacific blue water and gleaming sun in the Florida beach is the optimum.

His declaration was not challenged by anyone as the entire country agrees when it comes to Siesta’s perfection.

Dr. Beach submits his beach rankings every year. He judges all the beaches in the U.S and gives his top ten based on a standard criteria. He judges the beaches on their width on low tide, sand texture, average climate throughout the year and the amount of sun reaching the beach every year. His criteria for judging also includes water temperature, weather, color of the water, water current and waves.

Thus 2011 ranked Siesta Beach on the top of Dr. Beach’s list.
