Jennifer Lawrence Falls on Her Way to Receive Best Actress Oscar: Jennifer Lawrence made history with her flawless win at the 85^th Academy Awards today – but she turned even more heads as she walked to the stage to collect her golden statue. Dressed to kill in a stunning ivory Dior ball gown, Jennifer Lawrence tripped on the Oscars stage.

The 22 year old actress fell and recuperated really fast as she struggled to walk in the gigantic gown with a huge train behind it. The dress was indeed stunning, and one of the best of the Oscars’ Red Carpet – yet it was the reason for her fall.

It is no surprise that the Silver Linings Playbook star fell rather elegantly. Her posture in that dream-like outfit reminded us of a damsel falling down in a classic tale – she looked mesmerizing whatsoever.

However, there are some eyebrows rising about the fact that Lawrence might have tripped on purpose to garner attention towards her and her flowy Dior gown.

Before the Academy Awards began, Jennifer spoke at the red carpet saying that she feels like royalty in the dress with almost a 5-feet circumference. The voluminous design was also her downfall; she later emphasized on that while speaking after the event was over.

She told a media reporter that she the dress was to blame for her fall – ‘Look at my dress’, she said, also emphasizing that the stairs might have been waxed too.

As she made it to the stage to receive her award, Jennifer Lawrence exclaimed that she received a standing ovation by the crowd only because she had an embarrassing moment there – all in good humor, of course!

At the end of the day, Jennifer Lawrence is one of the youngest Best Actress Academy Award winners at the age of 22. She beat an even younger nominee, 9 year old Quvenzhane Wallis, who was nominated for her performance in Beasts of Southern Wild.
