Kim Kardashian wedding: Kim Kardashian, 31, married NBA basketball hunk Kris Humphries,26, in August 2011 amidst much hype and publicity at a private estate in California. The wedding in total cost the Kardashians over $10 million. The creme de la creme of the entertainment industry attended this wedding packed with fervor and excitement. Attention to detail was given to every element of the wedding; from the gowns to the jewels to the cakes. Even the butter spreader cost $43 – it was the cheapest item at the wedding!
Kim changed three gowns on her big day, all three white and all three designed by Vera Wang. Sisters Khloe, Kendall, Kourtney and mom Kris Jenner also wore white Vera Wang outfits. The guests were also mostly clad in black and white. Leaving aside the $10 million wedding, Kim’s diamonds alone cost a whooping $15 million. The ten-tiered wedding cake cost a crazy $20,000 and was sadly inspired by the Kate-William royal wedding (it didn’t add a tad bit of royalty to the extravagant event).
We’re not complaining that Kim should have spent all this big buck on feeding the hungry or schooling the African children, but if it was all supposed to end so fast, why the big fat wedding? Last week Kim has filed for divorce – just two months after the wedding. It is said that the wedding itself was a money making hoax. The Kardashian’s sold the wedding photos, video footage and airing rights for an alleged $18 million. Not just the wedding was a public affair, all the pre-wedding propaganda and preparation details were sold to the media – even the unraveling of Kim’s perfume for the big day was a huge matter.
After the divorce, a single Kim Kardashian will be making more money than ever. So has Kim sold her soul for money? To us answer might seem to be a yes.
