Lindsay Lohan Arrested in New York: The actress famous for her DUI charges and trips to the jail is back in action – Lindsay Lohan was arrested in New York for hitting a pedestrian with her car. The Mean Girls star was back in trouble when she hit Jose Rodriguez, a Manhattan based chef on his leg with her Porsche.

Rodriguez claimed that Lohan smelled like alcohol and was slurring her words. He also complained that the star was treated like royalty even after she committed a crime; nobody touched her or dared to get close because she was a celebrity. He added that her riches and power got her extra attention and an excuse.

According to the police authorities there is no proof of the fact that Lohan was drunk. Raymond Kelly, the police commissioner said that Lindsay Lohan was not asked to give a breathalyzer and she did not look at all impaired. The actress’ spokesperson said that this recent arrest was simply no big deal, and that her past allegations will also be proved false in no time.

It is true that 26 year old Lindsay Lohan was partying at Manhattan’s Dream Downtown. However there is a slight chance that the victim was exaggerating. The video footage of the incident revealed that Lohan had hit a pedestrian and then fled from the scene. According to a New York Police Department official Lohan had blinked the car headlights but the victim did not budge from his position. Lohan was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of accident after hitting a pedestrian.

Once a successful and exemplary star, Lindsay Lohan has a long trail of court dates, alcohol allegations, imprisonment, house arrests and rehab behind her. Her latest trouble dates back to Wednesday when she was given a parking ticket outside the Bowery Hotel. Lohan’s father supports her and calls all this a set up; he also has a past of legal issues and substance abuse.
