Miley Cyrus Chops off Hair – Desperate to Shed off Disney Image?: Before you think that Miley Cyrus is trying to pull off a Britney – no she is not. Instead, the former Disney star has chopped off her hair into a rather short do; probably in desperation to get rid of the teenage star image. The hair is now platinum blond, and very rock star like.

The hairstyle could also be a hint for fiancé Liam Hemsworth that she will not be playing a housewife and raising children after marriage. Instead the pop artist is ready to grow up as a musician and make things look more serious.

Before Cyrus, musical star Rihanna had chopped off her hair to shed the typical girl next door image. The haircut proved successful and lucky for Rihanna; let’s see what it has in store for Miley.

Just before the haircut Miley tweeted a photo of her and her stylist just about to chop her blond bun off. She also wrote a message with that picture saying: it is happening now, if no one has anything good to say then just don’t say anything. She added that her hair belongs to her – she gets to choose what to do with it.

Many hours later fans and followers realized that Miley was not joking. She tweeted some self taken photos of her chopped hair. Despite the mixed reviews Miley has gotten for the hair, she in completely in love with it. She told her fans that she hasn’t felt so much like herself before.

The rock star cut is definitely not what a bride-to-be would have in mind. The soon to be married Cyrus took a bold step by chopping her hair. Several years ago Miley had told ABC in an interview that she is going to chop her hair like supermodel Twiggy one day – she never mentioned that would be just months before her wedding.
