Miley Cyrus to star in Bonnie and Clyde miniseries
Miley Cyrus to star in Bonnie and Clyde miniseries: Former Disney child superstar who was better known for her role as ‘Hannah Montana’ is making a comeback to the small screen. Reports are that Miley Cyrus is in talks to be cast in the television mini-series ‘Bonnie and Clyde’.
Earlier, Cyrus graced her presence on the hit comedy show ‘Two and a Half Men’. She is currently being asked to play Bonnie Parker in the anticipated television miniseries. ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ is a project of Smash executive producers’ Neil Meron and Craig Zadan. The show is currently scheduled to air on both the AETN Networks on television. The miniseries is going to be four hours long, and is made specifically for the Lifetime and History channel. The producers of ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ are planning to incorporate various elements on the miniseries, so it can cater to a myriad of audiences.
The producers have still not made an announcement about who will be playing the role of Clyde. Even though Miley’s fiancé Liam Hemsworth is not a bad choice, the couple has been going through a rough patch recently. This new development has lowered the chances that the couple will star together.
A&E Networks has been trying its best to collaborate big names for the upcoming TV miniseries. Miley is considering the role after Nancy Dubuc, the A&E Networks president had pushed and worked for it. Casting big names in miniseries’ is a proven successful formula. Very recently, a history miniseries ‘Hatfield and McCoys’ took the Emmy for best actor after Kevin Costner graced the screen with his presence.
Another highly anticipated television miniseries based on the lifetime genre is the Lindsay Lohan starrer ‘Liz and Dick’. The actress well known for her DUI charges and confiscated drivers license will be portraying the role of Elizabeth Taylor. This miniseries will also be shown on the Lifetime and History channel.
