Neil Diamond Marries Again! – Legendary singer and songwriter Neil Diamond married his manager Katie McNeil in Los Angeles. The 71 year old ‘Sweet Caroline’ singer and 42 year old McNeil tied the knot among family and close friends. This Diamond‘s third marriage and Katie McNeil‘s first.

Neil Diamond created a hype in September 2011 after he announced his engagement with his manager on Twitter. He wrote a poetic message to his Twitter followers, who responded with congratulatory messages and heartfelt wishes. Diamond also tweeted a photo of his lady, introducing her to fans and declaring himself totally lovestruck.
In December Diamond tweeted another comment regarding 2011 being the best year after he scored a R&R Hall of Fame, a Kennedy Ctr Honor, a Billboard Icon Award and a Grammy nomination – but according to Diamond the best of all was the presence of the ‘girl of his dreams’. McNeil is certainly a lucky woman to score a romantic like Diamond!
Neil Diamond’s first marriage took place in 1963 to his high school sweetheart Jayne Posner, which ultimately ended in 1969. Diamond married Marcia Murphey the same year; their marriage ended in 1995. Neil Diamond is a father of two daughters and two sons – he has two children from each marriage.
News of Neil Diamond’s marriage was punctuated by yet another musical union when British actress Carey Mulligan married Mumford & Sons singer Marcus Mumford on Saturday. The couple married on a farm in Somerset, England in a gathering of over 200 guests.
The world famous crooner is all set to begin his 2012 United States tour on June 1.
