Randy Moss Retires

Randy Moss Retires: Randy Moss will not be returning for his 14th NFL season after he has thought over his options and decided to retire. The news hasn’t come as a shock to many after the hard year Moss went through recently, but many are surprised that Randy Moss chose the retirement option.

His agent Joel Segal announced: ”After weighing his options and contemplating offers, he’s decided to retire.”

Randy Moss had a tough year shuffling between three teams – The Patriots, The Vikings and The Titans. The difficult year was unforeseen as Moss had been basking in glory earlier with his New England 1200 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Just before his decision to retire, it was buzzing that the Jets were interested in signing him but eventually ended up acquiring Plaxico Burress instead. That was probably the last straw for Moss. Despite of all the bad taste in the end, Moss is an assured part of the Hall Of Fame in the near future. It is sad to see he had to leave this way, but this exit is still not bad enough to leave a blot on his remarkable career innings. Moss definitely has his pride and did not consider it fitting to sign for a low salary or a less-than-average position.

Moss had made his mark and received his standing ovation as he retires. There were rumors he might make a return but for the moment we doubt that.
