Scarlett Johansson turns down Marine Corps Ball Invite: Sergeant Dustin L. Williams got a disappointing reply when 26-year old Scarlett Johansson turned down his invite to attend the Marine Corps Ball with him. Scarlett was apologetic for being unable to attend and promised to make it up by sending him some champagne.
As the trend requires, Sergeant Dustin uploaded a video on YouTube asking the newly-divorced redhead to be his date. Johansson was reportedly having issues with her schedule and had to turn down the offer. She sent the brave soldier a message: ”Sgt. Williams, unfortunately due to prior commitments I will not be able to attend the Ball with you this year but I am sending you a case of Moët and Chandon with gratitude.”
“I feel incredibly honored, not only does Sgt. Williams deserve recognition for his bravery, selflessness and dedication to the United States and its people, but also displays a cheeky talent for film making,” she continued when talking about the Sergeant.
She also proposed a toast to the men and women of US Marine Corps who display ultimate bravery and defend their country.
Other actors and actresses who have been invited by military personnel include Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake and Betty White.
